Numerical Analysis of Masonry-Infilled RC-CLT Panel Connections

CLT panels have been investigated for reinforcement of existing masonry-infilled RC framed buildings through the increase overall lateral stiffness structure, thus reducing story drift demand. The contribution depends on connection to frame elements. This paper evaluates role connectors by which is attached frames capacity, ductility, and energy dissipation structure its elements separately using different kinds RC-CLT connections, ultimately finds compares optimum number arrangement connectors. results show that geometry connections plays a greater seismic in than their mechanical properties. Regarding masonry infills, they allow higher strength capacity but reduce efficacy strengthening. However, strong decrease ability infills dissipation. Finally, connectors, are distributed equally along upper lower beams at equal spacing, where added, starting middle moving corners.
